W&OD Trail - February-April 2024: 6-7 week trail detour near Sparrow Pond due to wetland restoration.
6-7 WEEK W&OD TRAIL DETOUR TO START FEBRUARY 19
A detour of a portion of the W&OD trail near Sparrow Pond is anticipated to start on Monday, February 19th (Presidents' Day) and last 6-7 weeks. The detour will direct cyclists and pedestrians to the parallel Four Mile Run Trail. The work will allow Arlington County's construction team to finish their new outfall that will connect Sparrow Pond to Four Mile Run. Please follow detour signage to the Four Mile Run Trail.
