ABOUT LEGACY FARMS

Legacy Farms is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization established in 2012 to empower neurodiversity in the workplace through mentor/apprenticeship programs. Programs are available to neurodiverse individuals who perform essential organizational tasks in the garden located at Temple Hall Farm Regional Park, in the community, and for organizational management.

Programs are designed for individuals ages 16 years and older who identify as neurodivergent, including autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, traumatic brain injury, PTSD, and anxiety. These neurotypes vary from perceived norms and affect an individual’s ability to achieve employment and independence in the current job market. Apprentices build upon their talents and interests, while mentors provide coaching to help develop job skills, social awareness and self-advocacy. For more information or volunteer opportunities, visit legacyfarmsvirginia.org.
