Potomac Overlook Regional Park

Volunteer Service Days

Group of volunteers removing invasive plants.

Volunteers like YOU keep our park healthy and beautiful! Join your community in protecting this environment as we remove non-native invasive plants from our park and replace them with native plants. Anyone can help (families with children, youth groups, seniors, etc.) and no experience is needed.

These events are for volunteers ages 9 to adult (family friendly).  If you are under 18 years old, a parent or guardian will need to sign our volunteer sign-in sheet before you can participate.  All other volunteers will need to sign the volunteer sign-in sheet on behalf of themselves. Sign-in sheet will be provided the day of the event.

WHY VOLUNTEER?

You can help preserve a healthy park for future generations, learn about the park’s flora and fauna, work outdoors, and enjoy the company of a diverse group of park-loving people!

HOW DO I GET STARTED?

Our volunteer service days typically meet every Saturday. Follow the link below to learn more and register. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/porp

WHAT DO I BRING?

If you have your own garden gloves and tools, please bring them along.  If not, they will be given to you.  Training and additional tools will be provided.  Be sure to come dressed for outdoor work and wear long pants, long sleeves, and a hat if desired.  It is recommended to bring along your own water bottle and any snacks if needed.
