Motivation Monday: Margarita

Fountainhead Regional Park

Trust us, it's not what you are thinking. Although it is a gorgeous 80 plus degrees outside, we did not find our motivation topped with a lime, on the rocks and with a salted rim. We ventured to Fountainhead Regional Park for a gorgeous lunch break but quickly found that the view wasn't the only amazing thing in the park today.

We met a young woman named Margarita who turned what was already a great start to a new week, into the epitome of a Motivation Monday‬. She shared that she is training for the 4K for Cancer for the Ulman Cancer Fund, in honor of her late cousin that passed away from pancreatic cancer. This summer, Margarita will ride across the country, starting in Baltimore and ending in San Francisco, to raise awareness for the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults. Along the way she will help pass out scholarships to those in need and bond with others who have been touched by cancer throughout their lives.

She said that everyday she will dedicate her ride to someone who is fighting or has lost their battle with cancer. Margarita, we commend you and are so glad to have met you today. Good luck in your adventures! To find out more about the Ulman Cancer Fund and how you can help, please visit their website.
