Who lives in the forest at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens? What do their homes look like? Designed for curious kids ages 2-4, this program invites little ones to explore the forest habitat and discover the fascinating homes of its animal residents. Through engaging activities and hands-on exploration, children will learn about the unique ways forest animals live and thrive in their natural environment.

  • $10 per preschooler
  • For children ages 2-4 and their parents / guardians
  • Online registration is required.
  • Register soon as space is limited. There is no waitlist or refunds.
  • Please dress for the weather.


Although we try to be outside for a portion of the program, in the event of poor weather, all activities will be indoors. Please check in at the Visitor Center.

Meadowlark Botanical Gardens is located off Beulah Road, at 9750 Meadowlark Gardens Court, Vienna, Virginia.

Ice & Lights' Daytime Ice Skating

Enjoy gliding on the ice at Cameron Run Regional Park, just minutes from Old Town Alexandria! Open weekends and holidays, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., through February 23, including Presidents' Day! Tickets are only available for purchase online.
