While Reservoir Park does not offer first come, first serve picnic areas, it does offer rental picnic pavilions perfect for family, friends and co-workers and also serve an important role in source water protection. Through their innovative butterfly roof design, the pavilions serve as rain catchers.  Water is captured and naturally filtered through bioretention basins before entering the reservoir, a vital source of drinking water for the community.  The pavilions include tables, grills and electricity. The pavilions are available for all day rentals from 9:00 AM-7:00 PM or one hour prior to sunset, whichever comes first.

 Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the park.

The Children’s Pavilion is located in Meadowlark Botanical Gardens and is available for private rentals for children’s birthday parties and scout ceremonies. Maximum occupancy is 30 total adults and children. Grills or open flames are not permitted inside the Gardens or at the Children’s Gardens Pavilion.

The Pavilion at Occoquan Park offers picnicking for groups up to 1,500. Amenities include electricity, covered seating with tables for up to 250 and additional field space available for larger events. Additional parking is available within the park. The Pavilion is located near the batting cages and in proximity to restrooms. The spacious fields next to the Pavilion provide the perfect atmosphere for a variety of field games and amusement devices.

Host your next event at the Eagle’s Nest Veranda, located on the water overlooking beautiful Guston Cove. A large main deck and side deck perched above the water give over 1,000 square feet of space to entertain guests on your special day. The Eagle's Nest Veranda is perfect for wedding ceremonies, receptions, reunions, family picnics, graduations, birthday parties, company outings, anniversaries & more and may be reserved for the day, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Pohick Bay Regional Park has an array of different covered picnic shelters that can accommodate group events and gatherings. Picnic shelters include tables and grills. All shelters are available for daily use and open from 9am to 7pm.

Bull Run Regional Park offers rental picnic shelters perfect for picnics with family, friends and coworkers. Picnic shelters include tables and grills. All shelters are rented for the day.

Temple Hall also boasts the AV Symington Visitor Center, an LEED Gold Certified building. The center includes a multi-purpose room that can be used for meetings and gatherings of various types, including birthday parties, exhibits highlighting agriculture in Loudoun County (past and present), public restrooms and office facilities. The adjacent exhibit barn features opportunities for children and adults to get “up close” to a variety of farm animals and learn about their care and feeding. It also features hands-on exhibits related to farming and agriculture. 

The farm is home to a large covered picnic shelter with a stone floor, large grill, electricity, fire pits, and nearby indoor restrooms. Birthday Party Packages are also available.

Potomac Overlook has covered shelter space for rent that can accommodate up to a maximum of 50 people. Features include picnic tables, a bench circle, and convenient restrooms adjacent to the space.

Occoquan Regional Park features several covered picnic shelters available for rent for large corporate events, family gatherings, groups, etc. Shelters are adjacent to large fields to accommodate a large variety of field games.
